Israeli Occupation Forces Kill a Palestinian, Injure 3 in Gaza, Invade and Terrorize West Bank Cities

IOF troops kill Palestinian in Gaza

GAZA, (PIC)-- 

A Palestinian citizen was killed east of Breij refugee camp in central Gaza Strip at the hands of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) soldiers bringing to three the number of Palestinians killed in 24 hours at the hands of those forces.

Dr. Muawiya Hassanein, director of emergency in the PA health ministry, told PIC over the telephone that the occupation troops fired at a number of Palestinians east of the camp killing Nizar Al-Obeid, 20, and kidnapping others.

Locals refuted the IOF command's story that the soldiers fired at the young men for planting an explosive device. The local sources affirmed that the youths usually collect trash cans and other metals and sell them for a living.

Two Palestinians were killed on Friday evening in Jenin district including a 16-year-old boy who was hit with eight bullets that killed him instantly while a resistance fighter was also killed while fighting the invasion troops in Kufr Dan village. He was seriously wounded in the clash and carried to hospital but the IOF soldiers blocked the ambulance car until he was martyred.

Three Palestinians injured in armed clashes with invading Israeli occupation forces in southern Gaza

Khan Younis – Ma'an – 

Palestinian medical sources reported that three Palestinian resistance fighters were wounded in clashes with invading Israeli occupation forces early on Sunday morning in the Al Omour area of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

The injured Palestinians were transferred to the European Hospital south of the city.

According to Palestinian security sources, ten bulldozers accompanied the special unit of Israeli forces that penetrated Khan Younis.

Israeli occupation forces invade Nablus, two of its refugee camps

Palestinian sources in Nablus city, in the northern part of the West Bank reported on Sunday at dawn that Israeli occupation forces, supported by armored vehicles, invaded the city, its Balata and Al Ein refugee camps, and exchanged fire with resistance fighters.

The sources stated that fighters of Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the armed wing of the leftist Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and Al Qassam brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, exchanged fire with the invading forces in Al Ein refugee camp, and hurled explosives at them.

The Al Qassam brigades stated that its fighters managed to wound two Israeli soldiers, but Israeli army sources denied any injuries among the invading troops.

Moreover, eyewitnesses reported that soldiers broke into several houses and searched them, and that troops also detonated some walls of houses that are attached to each other and used the gaps in the detonated walls as passages between the houses.

In a spate incident, military sources reported that Palestinian fighters hurled “improvised” grenades at forces invading Balata refugee camp on Saturday at night, no injuries were reported.

Palestinian combatants claim responsibility for resistance operations in the West Bank and Gaza

Gaza – Ma'an – 

The military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, the An Nasser Salah Addin Brigades and the Al Aqsa Brigades of Fatah announced joint responsibility for launching four mortar shells at Nahal Oz and Karni military posts, bordering the Gaza Strip, on Sunday morning.

In a combined statement the brigades said the operation was "part of the retaliation for Israeli aggression against Palestinian people in the occupied territories."

The Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and the Qassam Brigades of Hamas claimed joint responsibility for injuring two invading Israeli soldiers in Ein Beit el Ma refugee camp, north of Nablus, in the West Bank, also on Sunday morning.

The Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades told Ma'an's reporter "fierce clashes erupted between the brigades and the Israeli forces in the camp and we detonated two bombing devices and injured two Israeli soldiers."

Israeli radio reported that none of its soldiers were hurt during the fighting but acknowledged that two explosive devices were thrown at Israeli patrols.

Palestinian security sources said that a huge contingent of the Israeli forces stormed Nablus on Sunday at dawn and raided Ein al and Balata refugee camps.

The sources added that the troops ransacked several Palestinian homes, but there were no arrests.

The Qassam Brigades also claimed responsibility for launching four mortars at an Israeli military post in Kisufim, bordering the Gaza Strip, on Sunday.

The brigades issued a statement adding that they also launched six other mortars at an Israeli army base east of Abasan, in the southern Gaza Strip, on Saturday evening.

"The operations are part of the brigades' retaliation for Israeli aggression against Palestinians in the strip," read a statement issued by the Qassam Brigades.
