Kicks Off Yalla Vote 2008 Campaign in Iowa With Series of Political
Empowerment Workshops Successful Workshops in Cedar Rapids and Cedar Falls to be Followed by Des Moines Event Thursday WASHINGTON
– Aug. 15, 2007 – The Arab American
Institute (AAI) has kicked off a series of civic and political
empowerment workshops for Arab Americans in Iowa as part of its Yalla
Vote 2008 political mobilization campaign. AAI has
made Iowa an integral part of its national strategy to mobilize Arab
Americans for the 2008 presidential campaign season, and this week
organized well-attended political training workshops in Cedar Rapids and
Cedar Falls. A third workshop will be held in Des
Moines on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at Hotel Fort Des Moines. WHAT:
