    MYNA’s Annual National Youth Training Retreat

    June 30-July 7, 2007
    Camp Y-Noah- Clinton, Ohio


    Description:

    Qualified youth activists (age 12-18) and advisors from throughout the United States and Canada will gather to participate in MYNA’s Annual National Youth Training Retreat. The retreat will be held at Camp Y-Noah: Clinton, Ohio- in an environment of spirituality, excitement, and adventure.

    Participants will take part in spectacular state-of-the-art leadership and skill-developing workshops, sports, team-building activities, and great entertainment programs- all led by nationally renowned scholars and highly successful activists and role-models.
    A detailed report about the retreat will be available by June 20th on ISNA’s website.

    National Qira’at Competition

    ISNA is organizing the National Qira’at Competition during its 44th Annual Convention from August 31 – September 3, 2007 at the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center, Rosemont, IL.  Prizes will be given to the top three participants in the following categories:

     
    Category I 1st Prize 2nd Prize 3rd Prize
    Memorized entire Qur’an $400.00 $250.00 $150.00
    Category II 1st Prize 2nd Prize 3rd Prize
    Memorized ½ the Qur’an $300.00 $200.00 $100.00
    Category III 1st Prize 2nd Prize 3rd Prize
    Memorized 1/6 of Qur’an $200.00 $150.00 $100.00

    Participants must be 18 years of age or younger.  Qualified Scholars of Tajweed Al-Qur’an will judge the recitations.
